Advantages of the TRIQBRIQ timber construction system

Building with added value

  • 01
    Security of supply
  • 02
    Sustainable solid wood construction
  • 03
    Regional in-house production
Our TRIQBRIQ timber construction system makes sustainable and recyclable shell construction based on calamity wood possible for the first time. Millions of solid cubic metres of this wood are produced every year. Unfortunately, there are hardly any prospects for utilising this valuable raw material beyond incineration. This wood is now being utilised in our BRIQs. We process storm wood, insect wood, top cuttings, waste wood, cuttings and much more. We also use reclaimed timber for our BRIQs.
The TRIQBRIQ system consists of solid wood elements (softwood) that are connected using beech wood dowels and completely dispense with artificial fasteners such as glue or screws. Thanks to our recyclable product design, we can store over 200 kg of CO2 per square metre of wall surface in our built environment in the long term, according to TÜV data. A TRIQBRIQ shell can also be dismantled and reused in other new construction projects.
In the production of our BRIQs, we rely on regional wood sourcing. Our in-house, robot-assisted production guarantees accuracy of fit and high quality. The standardised production line can be scaled as required and also enables decentralised production directly at the sawmill. Our BRIQs are then delivered waste-free on pallets.
  • 04
    Short construction time
  • 05
    Easy to use
  • 06
    Flexible use
The micro-modular design of the TRIQBRIQ system enables absolutely uncomplicated and extremely efficient installation. The individual BRIQs are connected to the other BRIQs in the system via studs and blind holes and locked in place using beech wood dowels. In this way, our system enables fast, smooth and recyclable assembly and dismantling, without any drying times or the need for skilled labour.
Our BRIQs function like traditional bricks and are placed on top of each other in the same way. The result is a solid timber wall that structurally corresponds to a conventional wall. You are then completely free to choose the materials for insulation, facade, interior plaster, cladding, etc.
Thanks to the serial prefabrication and scalability of our system, TRIQBRIQ is versatile and customisable. The range of applications extends from residential and office buildings, kindergartens and schools to the addition of storeys and extensions to existing buildings.
