Our TRIQBRIQ timber construction system enables sustainable and circular shell construction using industrial and storm-damaged timber. Millions of cubic metres of this timber are generated annually, much of which is currently sent for thermal recycling. In our BRIQs, this timber is now used in circular timber construction. We process storm-damaged timber, insect-infested timber, top-cut timber, thinning timber and much more. We also use surplus construction timber for our BRIQs.

Sustainable solid wood construction
The TRIQBRIQ system consists of solid timber elements (softwood) joined together using beechwood dowels, completely eliminating the need for artificial fasteners such as adhesives or screws. Thanks to our circular product design, we can sequester approximately 177 kg of CO₂ per square metre of wall surface in our built environment over the long term, according to our Environmental Product Declaration. A TRIQBRIQ shell can also be dismantled by material type and reused in other new-build projects.

Regional in-house production
We source our timber locally for the production of our BRIQs. Our in-house, robot-assisted production process ensures a precise fit and high quality. The standardised production line is fully scalable and also allows for decentralised production directly at the sawmill. Our BRIQs are then delivered on pallets, with no waste.

Short construction time
The micro-modular design of the TRIQBRIQ system allows for absolutely straightforward and highly efficient assembly. The individual BRIQs are connected to the other BRIQs in the system via studs and blind holes and locked in place using beechwood dowels. This enables our system to be assembled and dismantled quickly, smoothly and in a recyclable manner, with no drying times required.

Easy to use
Our BRIQs work on the same principle as traditional bricks and are ‘laid’ together to form a wall – but made of wood rather than mineral building materials. Step by step, and in a straightforward manner, this creates a solid timber wall that combines the benefits of solid timber construction with the familiar logic of brickwork. The rest of the construction process remains straightforward too, as standard materials and solutions for insulation, cladding and interior finishing can be used as usual.

Flexible use
Thanks to its modular prefabrication and flexible scalability, TRIQBRIQ is versatile and can be adapted to individual requirements. Its applications range from residential and office buildings to nurseries and schools, as well as the addition of extra storeys and extensions to existing buildings.
