What is TRIQBRIQ?

Our TRIQBRIQ timber construction system consists of micro-modular timber building blocks – known as BRIQs. These are manufactured with high precision using robotic technology from cost-effective industrial and disaster-grade timber. The individual BRIQs are stacked on top of one another in a pattern on site and interlocked using beechwood dowels. Our patented shell construction system does not require any artificial fasteners whatsoever. This allows load-bearing external walls to be erected cost-effectively, flexibly and in a short time. At the end of a building’s useful life, our BRIQs can be removed by type and fully reused. Reclaimed timber is also used in the manufacture of our BRIQs. TRIQBRIQ thus offers a holistically sustainable and recyclable alternative to conventional building materials.

What our customers and partners say

Here’s why TRIQBRIQ stands out:

The circular economy is becoming increasingly important in the construction industry too. (…) Expanding the range of timber suitable for use in construction to include damaged timber, thereby significantly increasing the available supply of timber, is a highly interesting idea.

We are a traditional solid-construction firm and appreciate the benefits of brick-built structures. I was really fascinated to have found a building material made from industrial and beetle-damaged timber that is robust, solid and recyclable. This allows us to conserve timber as a resource and use this sustainable solid-timber building material with complete confidence. It’s simply brilliant, and incredibly easy to lay as well. I’m thrilled.

TRIQBRIQ is a building block for the construction transition. There is no single solution. We need to explore various options to achieve our common goal. What I particularly like about TRIQBRIQ is its approach of linking production cells to sawmills, thereby utilising locally available resources and processing them regionally.

It is a promising and, above all, clever approach, as it seeks to turn a necessity – namely the increasing amount of salvage timber – into a virtue: climate-positive and pollution-free construction.

We will only be able to tackle the man-made climate crisis if we consistently adopt sustainable and circular practices in the construction sector as well. As an association, we are proud to have member companies such as TRIQBRIQ, which are true pioneers in this field. This young company is proving that circular construction can be implemented in a practical way at record speed.

TRIQBRIQ seems to us to be a major step forward for circular construction. When the building is demolished, the timber modules can be dismantled very easily and reused in a new building. That is urban mining at its best.

The CRCLR HUT by TRIQBRIQ clearly demonstrates how circular construction can work in practice. This makes TRIQBRIQ an ideal partner for the FUTR HUT, which, as a centre of excellence for sustainable construction here in Berlin TXL, is set to send out an important signal for the construction transition. We are delighted to be working together!

Together with TRIQBRIQ, we have realised the CRCLR HUT at Berlin TXL. It is a pavilion dedicated to circular construction that demonstrates, in a practical way, a sustainable future for our industry. We were particularly impressed by the way the TRIQBRIQ walls were assembled. The system is simple, quick and circular. This is the construction revolution in action, making perfect sense in practice.

Unlike other solid wood modules, our BRIQs are made from, amongst other things, industrial and disaster-affected timber. This timber currently often ends up in supply chains that culminate in thermal recycling. In this way, we are making vast quantities of timber available for construction use and turning our towns and communities into carbon sinks. Through our circular approach, we enable the saving of grey energy. In doing so, we focus on regional sourcing, environmentally friendly production and short transport routes. The result is a resource-efficient, natural building material whose use in buildings leads to a low carbon footprint throughout its entire life cycle.
Standardised components and digital planning help to reduce errors and make processes more efficient. Furthermore, the system enables rapid assembly on site, as the elements are delivered to fit perfectly and can be installed immediately without any drying time. This reduces waiting, planning and construction times to a minimum.
Building with TRIQBRIQ requires significantly fewer skilled workers, as many steps in the process have been simplified and standardised. The system is designed so that even people without formal training in the trades can contribute to the construction process. This promotes a DIY approach, allowing construction projects to be carried out more flexibly, cost-effectively and independently.
By building with TRIQBRIQ, your building shell becomes largely reusable and is designed from the outset to be easily dismantled. The timber building blocks are joined exclusively with wooden dowels, meaning they can be dismantled and reused by type. This significantly reduces the amount of construction waste and sustainably maximises the value of natural resources.

CRCLR Hut

With the CRCLR HUT, we have realized an innovative construction project together with Beta Realities on the site of the Urban Tech Republic in Berlin TXL. As the first timber construction on the site, the pavilion stands for sustainable, circular construction and innovative architecture. At the same time, it is a symbol of the future of construction – resource-conserving, creative and developed in partnership.
