At the Vinzenz von Paul Werkstatt of the Stiftung Haus Lindenhof, the Tübingen-based timber construction start-up TRIQBRIQ presented a donation cheque for 10,000 euros. The occasion marked a production partnership between the company and the workshop that has existed for around two years. The event was attended by numerous guests, including representatives of both institutions as well as the people with disabilities who actively take part on-site in manufacturing the start-up’s timber building blocks.
The TRIQBRIQ AG produces most of its timber building blocks – known as BRIQs – at its main plant in Tübingen, relying largely on robotics. When demand suddenly exceeded the company’s own production capacity more than two years ago, the partnership with the Stiftung Haus Lindenhof was launched at short notice. From the perspective of everyone involved, it is a step that advances both the participation of people with disabilities in the labour market and the development of innovative manufacturing methods.

Ahead of the donation ceremony, guests toured the various workstations of TRIQBRIQ’s production at the Vinzenz von Paul Werkstatt last Thursday. Together with the employees, a TRIQBRIQ wall was also assembled on the foundation’s premises. Workshop manager Alois Hieber then welcomed the board members of the Stiftung Haus Lindenhof, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wasel and Hermann Staiber, as well as the TRIQBRIQ representatives: board member Maximilian Wörner, Jürgen Stegmaier (Finance), and Lewin Fricke (Public Relations).

In his welcome address, Alois Hieber, manager of the Vinzenz von Paul Werkstatt, emphasized that finding such a reliable partner was a stroke of luck.
„The social aspect of the collaboration is particularly important to us. Through the assembly work, people who in some cases had been out of working life are gradually reintroduced, step by step, to work, structure, and community“, said Hieber.
This, he said, is where the true value of the partnership lies. He added that the enthusiasm with which the employees assemble the BRIQs is remarkable.
Employee Manuel Betz confirmed this:
„I’ve been making the BRIQs for about six months now, and I really enjoy it.“
Betz helped assemble the room divider at the workshop and gave it an entirely positive assessment: „Putting up the wall was simple, safe, and went very quickly.“

TRIQBRIQ board member Maximilian Wörner praised the good collaboration and made clear:
„This cooperation is enormously important to us. TRIQBRIQ is currently in more demand than ever, and we need as many BRIQs as possible. The workshop here is very well equipped technically, and the employees produce our BRIQs at world-class quality and in respectable quantities.“
He said he was pleased to expand the collaboration, considers the workshop part of the TRIQBRIQ team, and had therefore decided to donate the 10,000 euros there, Wörner added.
Donation funded by award prize money from the SPD Wirtschaftsforum
For such a young company, however, a sum this large is by no means a given. The donation comes from the prize money for the „WiForward“ award from the SPD Wirtschaftsforum. The award, which the start-up received at the end of last year, carries a prize of 10,000 euros and honours innovative transformation achievements in business, science, and politics. According to Wörner, he had already decided, on the evening of the award ceremony in Berlin, that he would pass the money on to the Stiftung Haus Lindenhof.
The collaboration between TRIQBRIQ and the Stiftung Haus Lindenhof shows that economic progress and social responsibility can go hand in hand. This benefits everyone involved and fosters an inclusive society built on sustainable coexistence.
