Newsletter March 2026
We hope you had a restful Easter and a wonderful time with your loved ones. Before Easter, things were buzzing at TRIQBRIQ once again: with the founding of TRIQBRIQ Austria and new momentum from the USA, our internationalization is really picking up speed. At the same time, a current project example shows how our construction method is already being put into practice in new markets. And fortunately, we made it into the media again as well.
INTERNATIONALIZATION
TRIQBRIQ LAUNCHES IN AUSTRIA
With the founding of TRIQBRIQ AT GmbH, a new chapter begins for TRIQBRIQ in Austria. The new location creates a strong foundation for establishing our construction method in the Austrian market. Production in Bludenz starts in August 2026. Four further locations across Austria are already being planned.
A first visible milestone was the trade fair appearance at com:bau in Dornbirn, where TRIQBRIQ Austria presented itself publicly for the first time. The team around Matthias Strolz, Julia Reihs and Lukas Reihs showed how entrepreneurial experience and timber construction expertise come together in Vorarlberg. We from the German TRIQBRIQ AG were also on site: Lewin Fricke presented the CRCLR HUT in a talk and gave a hands-on impulse on circular building.
In terms of content, the new location fits very well into the regional context. The Vorarlberg region is known for its timber construction tradition. Project implementation takes place in strategic partnership with MADLENER Bauconsulting A-U-T GmbH.
With this step into Austria, TRIQBRIQ is growing not only geographically but also structurally. At the same time, it becomes clear how important strong regional partnerships are when new markets are to be built up and developed for the long term.
FIRST IMPULSES FROM THE USA
At the same time, the US market is now also coming more into focus. Together with our partner Beta Realities, we were represented at the New York Build Expo. At New York’s largest construction trade fair, we presented ourselves to an American professional audience for the first time under the motto “Join the movement”.
The trade fair was an important step on the path toward further internationalization. While developments in Europe have already noticeably picked up speed, and Austria has become the first actively established market, the build-up in the USA is still at a very early stage. This made the direct exchange on site all the more valuable. The conversations made clear that topics such as affordable building, resource efficiency and future-proof construction methods are also attracting great interest in North America.
Two concrete projects are planned in the states of New York and Texas. The next step is now to identify suitable partners on site and to create the foundation for local production sites. The New York Build Expo was a promising start for this and, at the same time, a strong signal that the relevance of new construction methods continues to grow beyond Europe as well.
Alongside new contacts, partnerships and perspectives, we can also report internationally on a TRIQBRIQ project that is currently being realized.
CONSTRUCTION SITE INSIGHTS
PILOT PROJECT IN CHILE: SHELL CONSTRUCTION ASSEMBLED IN 20 HOURS
A particularly exciting construction site insight comes from Panguipulli in Chile. A single-story studio building serving as a pilot project and showroom is currently being built there. The goal is to make the TRIQBRIQ construction method tangible on site in a clear and professionally sound way, and to use this as a basis for initiating further projects in South America.
The project’s key figures: on a floor area of 56 m², 595 BRIQs were used. The effective assembly time for the BRIQs was only 20 hours – completed with two people. At the same time, the building stores almost 13,000 kg CO₂.
From the client’s perspective, too, much speaks in favor of the project. Particularly highlighted are the performance of solid wood, the good self-insulation value, the short assembly time on site, as well as the possibility of contributing a high share of self-performed work. In addition, there is the ecological approach of this construction method, which is also gaining increasing importance in an international context.
Alongside projects and market development, TRIQBRIQ’s continued growth naturally also depends on the people who help shape this development. We are delighted about this project so far away and thank our partners for their trust.
NEW ON THE TEAM
CHRISTIAN FLEUREN
We are delighted that Christian Fleuren has been on board since March. At TRIQBRIQ, Christian is responsible for international expansion and building up our licensee network.
A trained bank clerk with experience in both the trades and the construction industry, Christian brings extensive expertise in sales and the strategic positioning of complex investment goods. Before joining TRIQBRIQ, Christian was responsible for market segment management at a manufacturer of sustainable industrial flooring, built up sales at a timber startup, and cycled to the North Cape after his last position in the cleanroom industry.
We are delighted that he found his way to us after his sabbatical and is now driving TRIQBRIQ’s expansion abroad.
TRIQBRIQ in the Media
In March, media attention clearly focused on our internationalization. TRIQBRIQ Austria co-CEO Matthias Strolz was featured on ORF. TRIQBRIQ was also on TV in Germany: the science program Quarks featured an exciting report. Further articles and features are also linked below:
