Newsletter April 2026

With the arrival of spring, our projects and developments are also picking up pace. Construction sites are showing tangible progress, while in parallel we are working on new applications, technical advancements, and are present at exhibitions and in public discourse. April therefore offers a diverse look into current projects, new impulses, and the continuous development of TRIQBRIQ.

FLEXIBLE INTERIOR SPACES

Just how versatile the TRIQBRIQ system can be for interior fit-outs is demonstrated by a current project in Pulheim. In the B2Square office, our WS15 interior wall system was implemented as a flexible partition wall — including integrated seating. The construction can be quickly assembled, relocated if needed, and fully dismantled — without any glue or additional fasteners. This creates spaces that can adapt to changing requirements without being permanently fixed.

PROGRESS IN RETAIL

In parallel, one of our current retail projects is also progressing steadily: in Fulda, the extension of a Netto Marken-Discount store is in its final construction phase. After a brief weather-related delay, the existing store was closed in order to consistently carry out both the extension on either side and the interior modernization. The reopening is planned for the end of May.

For the extension, around 2,600 BRIQs are being used, mainly made from industrial and calamity wood. As a result, approximately 57.5 tonnes of CO₂ are being bound in the load-bearing structure for the long term. The project shows how existing buildings can be purposefully developed further while remaining in operation — and what role circular construction methods in food retail can play in the future. Special thanks go to Realdaptive Unternehmensgruppe, who initiated and are implementing the project.

EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING BUILDING: FORMER TOWN HALL IN ANSBACH

As part of a comprehensive renovation, the former town hall in Ansbach-Schalkhausen was extended by an additional storey. The existing pitched roof was removed due to insufficient headroom and replaced in two construction phases with an extension using our TRIQBRIQ system.

Across roughly 200 m² of gross floor area, a total of 2,317 BRIQs were installed. The open shell construction time was just two days per construction phase — carried out by a four-person team. The construction method allowed around 16.5 tonnes of CO₂ to be bound.

The project highlights the strengths of our system in existing buildings: short construction times, clear and traceable assembly, and the ability to contribute effectively even without extensive prior experience.

CRCLR HUT: INTERIOR FIT-OUT COMPLETED

The CRCLR HUT on the grounds of the Urban Tech Republic in Berlin TXL is now also fully furnished on the inside. The pavilion was developed with the goal of keeping materials in circulation, and has already been assembled and disassembled several times.

With the interior fit-out now complete, the site offers a functional and pleasant place to spend time. The pavilion serves as a retreat and exchange space for the users of the experimental areas and demonstrates in daily use how circular building concepts can work in practice. Visits are possible by appointment with us.

TRIQBRIQ IN EXHIBITIONS: TECHNIKMUSEUM AND FUTURIUM

What the built environment of tomorrow could look like is currently also being explored at the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin. The exhibition “Super City 3000” deliberately puts the perspectives of children at its centre — opening up new viewpoints on questions of urban development, quality of life and the environment.

TRIQBRIQ is part of the exhibition, placing the topic of circular construction within a broader social context. The presentation shows that future developments should be considered not only technologically, but also depend on which perspectives inform their design.

TRIQBRIQ also remains present at the Futurium: in the basement of the museum of the future in Berlin, you can view one of our BRIQs alongside many other innovative building materials.

That means our system is now on display in two of Berlin’s leading museums, and we are immensely proud of that.

TECHNICAL UPDATE: WS15 IN THE DOWNLOAD PORTAL

For planning with the TRIQBRIQ system, we provide continuously updated technical documentation. The current focus is on the WS15 interior wall system.

The download area provides comprehensive planning data, including details on floor and ceiling connections, interior wall and system connections, as well as wall assemblies and openings. The files are available in dwg and ifc formats and support easy integration into existing planning processes.

NEW TO THE TEAM

SIMONE STEGMAIER

With well-founded expertise in finance, Simone Stegmaier has been supporting our commercial management since February. As a graduate business economist specialising in business information systems, she brings extensive experience from her previous roles as a controller across various industries.

At TRIQBRIQ, she ensures structured financial processes and supports the mapping of operational processes in the ERP system. We are delighted that she is strengthening our finance team with her expertise and analytical mindset!
